Dan Rosenberg....3rd Generation Car Guy...but NOT a "gear head"

Picture
Being a third generation “car guy,” Dan Rosenberg was destined to have a lifelong passion for cars. His grandfather owned a used auto parts company as well as a car lot in a suburb of Pittsburgh back in the 1930’s. His father worked at the used auto parts company as a high school student, until he went out on his own selling new parts when he founded “Leonard’s Auto Supply” in 1962.

About 30 years later, while on an airplane heading to Los Angeles to “make it” as a comedian, Dan read an article about Billy Ray Cyrus working as a car salesman during the day while performing at night, so he thought, “If he can do it, why can’t I?” So he walked into a Pontiac/Buick dealer in Woodland Hills and got a job selling cars. (Turns out, it was right next door to the dealership Cyrus used to work for.) Two Decades later, Rosenberg has held almost every sales and management position at dealerships in California as well as his home state of Pennsylvania. Mixing his comedy skills with his selling skills, he was always a top salesman at each dealership he worked for.

Dan is the CEO of CashForCars.com matching car sellers with car buyers. As a comedian, Dan has performed across North America and is a regular at the Laugh Factory and Improv comedy clubs in Hollywood.

He has written two comedy books: “The Book on Hosting” and “The Unwritten Rules of Stand-up Comedy.” After helping friends and relatives buy cars, he has developed a system that always saves time and money and is working on his third book “The Book On Buying Cars” which will reveal his secrets.

When asked his favorite three things, Dan always replies “Cars, Comedy and Radio,” and Car News combines all of his passions. Dan has owned 27 cars (one at a time). He currently loves working on his two classic cars, a 1962 Chrysler Newport and his DREAM CAR, a totally original 1981 Delorean DMC-12 (with 6100 miles on it!)
